EAR INFECTION?

Infection or inflammation of the ear canal is a common problem in dogs. Your dogs’ ears should be checked regularly.

If only slightly dirty they can be cleaned

What are the signs to look for?

Ear infections can be quite painful, your dog may show any or all of the following sign:

· Scratching at their ears or shaking their head

· Red inflamed ears, perhaps with scaly skin

· Excess discharge inside the ear

· Ears that are painful to touch

· Head tilt to one side or loss of balance

· Unpleasant smell from the ear

If left untreated ear infections can cause serious pain, even loss of hearing!
