Constantly shaking their head?
New Year often brings “not so much joy” to our pets, infection or inflammation of the ear canal is a common problem this time of year, due to very dry conditions producing a multitude of grasses and those painful seeds!
Some signs to look for:

Scratching at their ears or shaking their head·
Red inflamed ears, perhaps with scaly skin·
Excess discharge inside the ear·
Ears that are painful to touch·
Head tilt to one side or loss of balance·
Unpleasant smell from the earIf left untreated ear infections cause serious pain, even loss of hearing, so please if unsure have their ears checked by a Vet.
