Fretting Felines!
Introducing a new cat to an older feline member of the family can be a challenge
to say the least!
The following pointers may make the first few weeks a little easier for all:
Confine the new cat to an area that can be seen by the original cat
Allow both cats to visually become familiar with each other first
After a few days allow them limited supervised access visits together
At the end of a week allow the visits to become longer
If time together is tolerated by all, enjoy your new family.
If both cats are adults, introductions may take a little longer.
A cool head and gentle persuasion usually results in
success!
