· Hutch or cage strong enough to stop predators (away from cold and direct heat )

· Plenty of thick straw for warmth and burrowing

· Allow time to run freely on lawns (always supervise)

· Eat most vegetables, commercial pellets are a valuable addition

· Include – oranges, carrots, apples, pumpkin, whole or ground oats and wheat, vitamin C is very important (diet or supplements)

· Average lifespan is 2-5 years

· X2 adult males together may fight or attack young

· Gestation period is 9 weeks, litter size up to 9 piglets
