HEAT STROKE

With our days becoming increasingly hotter, many of us look forward to the cool of our workplaces, but spare a thought for your pets, where are they whilst you are at work?

Heat stroke affects your pets the same as you and I, and can potentially be fatal if not treated.

Pointers to look out for are:

· Lethargy

· Disorientation

· Vomiting

· Seizures

· Collapse

Any of these signs should seen by one of our Vets immediately

On hot days please ensure your pets:

· Have a cool shady spot to rest

· Plenty of fresh water

· Water to cool off in (do not leave young puppies around deep containers of water)

· And do not exercise them until the day cools down
