· Offer a wide variety, seed alone is not sufficient

· Sunflower seeds can become addictive and cause obesity

· Plenty of fruit and vegetables, spinach and dark-leaved vegetables are best, corn cobs etc.

· Wash all fruit and vegetables thoroughly to remove chemical residue

· DO NOT GIVE AVOCADO (it can be lethal)

· Grit in a separate dish

· Plenty of fresh water, changed daily.

· Food bowls should be wide and shallow, avoid terracotta and galvanized materials

· Some parrots can live up to 30 years if cared for properly
