Beautiful to look at, deadly to eat!

Do you know which plants are toxic to your pets?

There are many plants commonly found in home gardens which could prove lethal to dogs and especially puppies (who chew everything they can).  Here’s a list of a few of those plants, and some of the effects they can have if eaten, even in small doses.

• Azalea (entire plant) – paralysis

• Bird of Paradise – nausea, vomiting

• Calla Lily – burning of mouth and stomach

• Daffodil(bulb) – vomiting, convulsions

• Ranuculus – stomach irritation, diarrhea, convulsions
