RABBITS
What you need to know
Due to the ever shrinking size of our backyards and many people choosing to live
in courtyard homes or units, rabbits are becoming a very popular addition to the
family.
The following pointers are for those considering a rabbit:
Quite socially interactive and quiet
Small and relatively inexpensive to feed
Housed in cages but not confined 24 hours a day
Cages should be AT LEAST 4 times the size of your rabbit, well ventilated and resistant to chewing.
Cage floors should be solid; wire bases are too harsh for little feet with no pads.
Diet – quality pellets, fresh hay, water, vegetables, minimize fruits
Vaccinations – MUST BE UPDATED YEARLY
