How do you know your bird is unwell?

 

Our feathered friends generally only show signs of an illness when they really are quite unwell.

The signs may be very subtle, so it is important to get to know your birds “normal behavior” well.

Here are a few pointers to look out for:

· Not whistling as much as usual

· Sitting very fluffed up on their perch

· Not eating

· Abnormal discharges from eyes or nose

· Vomiting or diarrhea

· Not moving about as much as normal

Many of these signs definitely require your bird to be checked.
