SPRING ALLERGIES

 

It’ that wonderful itchy time of year and pets like you and I suffer allergies too.

Instead of hayfever and sneezing most pets show signs of itching, common areas are the underside of belly, groin and armpits.

Signs: Dogs

· Red inflamed skin

· Thick brown elephant-like skin (due to ongoing infection)

Cats:

· Excessive grooming

· Scabs and bald areas

Causes:

· Plants, grasses, weeds, woollen bedding or dustmites

Remember: Warm weather = more fleas too!

The most common cause of itiching is still fleas; ensure you are using one of our reliable flea products.
